ETHICS AND COMPLIANCE
Keolis Canada’s commitments and actions to respect fair practices
ACT IN AN EXEMPLARY MANNER
Environment, fair practices, diversity, contribution to local life, sustainable and solidarity-based purchasing… Keolis Canada has integrated the various dimensions of its community responsibilities into its business plan. We rely on the expertise of Keolis Group and we share our results and thoughts through regular dialogue with our stakeholders.
ADVANCING AS A RESPONSIBLE PLAYER
Keolis Canada’s responsibility to the community is based on two conditions: respect for Keolis Group’s general rules and policies, consistent with the United Nations Global Compact and dialog with our customers and other stakeholders.
These two conditions are supported by four strong commitments: to enrich the customer experience, to guarantee the safety of our employees, to offer them a fair and inclusive work environment that respects their diversity, to control our impacts on the environment and to act in all territories that we serve.
PRESERVING THE ENVIRONMENT
As the first transportation operator with an ISO 14001-certified environmental approach, the Keolis Group supports us in reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainable and respectful mobility.
The Keolis Group environmental policy that we follow is based on two types of commitments:
GENERAL COMMITMENTS
- Compliance with regulatory and contractual environmental requirements
- Pollution prevention
- Continual improvement
SPECIFIC COMMITMENTS
- Optimization of energy consumption
- Improvement of waste management
- Reduction of drinking water consumption for industrial purposes.
RESPECTING THE LOYALTY OF PRACTICES
To be exemplary in business ethics, Keolis Canada aligns its practices with the most demanding standards. To this end, it has an ethics and compliance program that includes a set of clear procedures to be applied on a daily basis. With the support of the Keolis Group, this program is the subject of numerous awareness-raising and training activities that enable all employees to protect themselves against the risks they may face in their work.
THE THREE AREAS OF THE GROUP’S ETHICS PROGRAM
- Respect for free and fair competition
- Prevention of corruption and fraud
- Protection of personal data
ACTING IN THE TERRITORIES WE SERVE
Keolis Canada is not content to be just a transportation operator. We actively contribute to the economic, educational and even cultural life of the territories where we operate. Our commitment takes many forms: recourse to local and solidarity-based businesses, integration through employment of people experiencing difficulties, interventions in schools, cultural partnerships.
Solidarity operation with "Santa Claus Express" in Québec
During the 2017 end-of-year celebrations, Keolis Canada initiated the "Santa Claus Express", a holiday-decorated coach on all its intercity, urban, airport and school networks in Québec. They collected over 2,000 donations of new and used toys in good condition donated by passengers, partners and all divisions of Keolis Canada. The toys were redistributed at the end of the operation to 6 regional charities. This shared commitment made a real difference for hundreds of children. Santa Claus will hit the road again at the end of 2018!
AFFIRMING DIVERSITY
Keolis Canada is committed to a policy of diversity and inclusion that aims to ensure a fair working environment in which everyone, regardless of their differences, feels heard and supported, so that they can give the best of themselves. With 27% of their workforce being women, Keolis Canada is also committed to gender equality to achieve gender diversity in all job streams and to ensure better access for women to career positions with greater responsibilities.
EMPLOYEE COMMITMENT
DEVELOPING EMPLOYEE COMMITMENT
In a service business such as public transit, customer satisfaction rests primarily with the men and women who design, manage and operate the networks. This is why Keolis Canada highly values the commitment of its employees. By sharing the values of a strong brand with them, we put them at the heart of our approach to social responsibility and offer them numerous opportunities for change.
MAKE OUR EMPLOYEES PROUD TO BE PART OF KEOLIS, THANKS TO A STRONG IDENTITY
Through its activities, Keolis Canada is helping to make the territories where it operates more mobile, connected and sustainable.

Through its culture based on entrepreneurship, service excellence and innovation, it is a recognized mobility player in the territories where it operates.
A RESPONSIBLE GROUP THAT RESPECTS ITS EMPLOYEES
Respecting the principles of the UN Global Compact, Human Rights or international labour standards, Keolis Canada is in line with Keolis Group and conducts many activities that encourage diversity, equality and inclusion. Equity, transparency and improving the skills of everyone guide the processes of our human resources.
